Starring Matthew Kowalchuk
Directed by Kevin Sutley
Musical score by Andy Northrup

Live musical accompaniment by Daniel Deorksen "*****" - Winnipeg Free Press "Hypnotic" - CBC Edmonton "Captivating" - Edmonton Journal "One of the most entertaining hours at the Fringe.... A dynamite performance by Matthew Kowalchuk and music by Andy Northrup make this a must see!" - Global TV A retelling of the Faust legend set in the country music capital, Nashville. Not your typical play, it is an epic, six part poem, expertly told in rhyme by actor Matthew Kowalchuk and backed by Daniel Deorksen to Andy Northrup's brilliant musical score.

The epic poem begins, "the Devil walked into Linebaugh's on a rainy Nashville night..." and we are transported into Silverstein's world. Under the careful direction of Kevin Sutley, the story weaves its way effortlessly from one plateau to the next. As the action unfolds, you will take a trip from hell to heaven and back again... see the folks on Music Row...hear the rhymes and tunes they're singin'...watch Billy and the Devil as they square off for lost souls...meet Scuzzy Sleezo, the world's greatest hustlers agent...witness a pool match with God, and a wedding in hell where everyone is invited!

Andy has also been cast in a project that Chris Craddock has been co-writing and will be acting in. "The Pharmacist" is a highly stylized new script which is at times both shocking and funny.

The film, which is being shot in and around Edmonton, features some of the best folk in Canadian film and is being helmed by noted director Chester Sit. Andy has a small role as the Doctor and the film is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the Alberta Indie film community for 2009.

Andy is going to get back to work on the new album which is entirely written so for those of you anxious for new music be aware that it is coming. Cheers all, please send a note and say hi.
